2024 Club Championship

Sat June 22 @ 10:00 AM 5:00 PM

Our annual Club Championship returns in 2024 to round off this season’s league fixtures.

The tournament is open to all fully paid-up members of Camberley Chess Club. As this will be an ECF-rated tournament, all entrants must also be current members of the ECF.

The Championship will consist of 6 rounds, taking place over 4 dates:

  • Saturday 22 June: Rounds 1 and 2 (10.30 am and 1.45 pm)
  • Thursday 27 June: Round 3 (7.30 pm)
  • Saturday 29 June: Rounds 4 and 5 (10.30 am and 1.45 pm)
  • Thursday 4 July: Round 6 (7.30 pm)

There will be two separate divisions—“Championship” and “Challengers”. Entrants will be placed into a division at the tournament director’s discretion, it is envisaged that the rating cutoff between these two divisions will be 1200. Players in separate divisions will not be paired together as these will be run as two parallel tournaments.

All games will have a time control of 80 minutes plus 10 seconds increment (80 + 10).

A maximum of two half-point byes will be available for all players for rounds 1-4. Any byes need to be requested at least two days before the round start date. No half-point byes are available for rounds 5-6.

To enter, just let a committee member know in person or by email.
