At a recent Camberley Chess Club session, a new member asked “What is the history of chess, where did it come from?” “Is there anything on the club’s website about this?”

There is a brief history of the club on the website, but there was no mention or references to the history of chess.

For lots of chess resources on the internet, have a look at our Internet Chess Resources page.
