Club Blitz Championship 2024

The Club Blitz Championship returns for its second year on 6 June. This annual event determines our official club blitz champion for the year. Colin Purdon is the reigning champion from 2023.

Format

• Time control: 3 + 2 (three minutes for each player plus two second increment per move)
• 8 rounds total with pairings to be made using the Swiss pairing system
• Results will be submitted to the ECF Blitz rating system
• Play begins at 19:30
• If there is a tie for first place, the winner will be decided by head-to-head countback (i.e. if Player A and Player B end up in equal-first place, the winner of their encounter will be declared the tournament champion – in the event that that game was a draw, a tiebreak game will be played).

Entry Requirements

• All entrants must be fully paid-up members of Camberley Chess Club.
• All entrants must be members of the ECF and have an ECF Rating Code.
• TO ENTER TURN UP ON THE NIGHT BEFORE 7:30PM TO REGISTER.
