Camberley Chess Club to play Exhibition Charity Match versus Ivanchuk Chess School of Ukraine

Camberley Chess Club will play the formidable Ivanchuk Chess School of Lviv in an exhibition charity match on the internet on Sunday July 31st.

The match will take place over multiple boards on Lichess.org.  The Camberley team includes some strong guest players from local clubs at Farnham and Bourne End. We anticipate an unusual encounter between a 8-year-old Ukrainian girl who is a chess prodigy and 93 year old James Wallman who is one of the oldest graded chess players in England. 

Former World #2 Vasyl Ivanchuk will join the meeting.

The match will show solidarity between chess players in England and those in Ukraine and it will also raise money to help Ukrainian charities.
