Camberley Chess Club played an Exhibition Charity Match versus Ivanchuk Chess School of Ukraine on 31st July 2022. The match showed solidarity between chess players in England and those in Ukraine and is also raising money to help Ukrainian charities.

The Camberley team included some strong guest players from local clubs at Farnham and Bourne End. Also participating was an 8-year-old Ukrainian girl who is a chess prodigy and 93 year old James Wallman who is one of the oldest graded chess players in England. Former World #2 Vasyl Ivanchuk was kind enough to join and provided a fantastic commentary across the different games all going on.
